Panel Discussion: "The Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict - A Big Challenge for a Small Region"

On October 8, Gnomon Wise and the University of Georgia hosted a panel discussion: "The Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict - A Big Challenge for a Small Region."

Participants of the discussion were as follows: Gia Japaridze (Senior Researcher at Ilia Chavchavadze Center for European Studies and Civic Education, Professor at the University of Georgia); Tornike Sharashenidze (Professor at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA)); Giorgi Goguadze (Director of the Georgian Center for Strategy and Development (GCSD)); Nodar Kharshiladze (Head of the Georgian Center for Strategic Analysis (GSAC)). The discussion was led by Irina Gurgenashvili (Gnomon Wise Researcher).

The speakers reviewed such issues as the distribution of forces in the region and the crisis of "world leadership", the capabilities of the opposing parties and the information war. Georgia's challenges in the light of the events in Nagorno-Karabakh were also discussed.
