Seminar: Propaganda for Algorithms - The New Targets of Information Manipulation in the Age of AI
On September 24, 2026, the Gnomon Wise research institute held a seminar and discussion.
During the seminar, researcher Davit Kutidze discussed emerging forms of information manipulation in the age of artificial intelligence and how, alongside humans, algorithms themselves can become targets of influence operations. The discussion addressed the role of search engines, social media recommendation systems, and generative artificial intelligence in shaping the information environment, as well as potential methods of manipulating these systems and the challenges associated with them. The seminar was based on the speaker’s analytical article, "Propaganda for Algorithms: The New Targets of Information Manipulation in the Age of AI."
