Joseph Raz and the Value of the Rule of Law
Joseph Raz, one of the most influential legal philosophers of the past century, passed away in London on May 2 this year. The defense of the doctrine of the rule of law by Raz, a central figure in analytic legal positivism, seems unusual at first glance.
Davit Zedelashvili, a Researcher of Gnomon Wise, examines Raz’s philosophical defense of the theory of the rule of law to demonstrate the fundamental significance of his scholarly legacy beyond the school of legal positivism. His legacy will be studied by legal, political, and moral philosophers for ages to come.
